Ecological Reciprocity and Environmental Justice: A Case Study of Utah Community Gardens

Presentation Video

Brianna’s project examines why people effectively respond to environmental issues in Salt Lake City, Utah by using community gardens as a case study. They  offer an interpretation of the question of how the environmental plight will have a disproportionate impact on smaller, BIPOC communities in Salt Lake City. It combines lenses from environmental science, public policy, and state history. Finally, their project ends with possible recommendations and steps that Utah and communities can take to mitigate the issues currently present in the state.
