The Visibility of Sex workers in Egypt

Presentation Video

There has been an audible silence around the population of sex workers in Egypt for the past 5-7 years, with a lack of data and media surrounding the horrid conditions and human rights violations they experience we find ourselves unable to gouge the scale of the issue and hence unable to work towards better conditions and treatment for this population. This research aims to provide increased visibility to the conditions of sex workers in Egypt in order to hold Egypt accountable to these violations of human rights and better direct development funds aimed at improving the livelihood and conditions of sex workers in Egypt.
