I was born and raised in Jamaica for most of my life. At 17 I decided to move to China on a scholarship to attend an international boarding school and finish high school. I ended up living in China for 3 years before moving to NYC to attend NYU. As a current senior I am studying a unique combination of psychology, neuroscience, evolutionary anthropology and philosophy to understand intersubjective capacities between humans as well as potential physiological bases of consciousness. I have deep rooted interests in Chinese language and culture and my concentration also aims to engage in a robust cultural analysis of Chinese society to understand Chinese philosophical theories of body and mind, as well as modern day political objectives regarding scientific research into the human brain.
